I’m back
It’s been a little while since I’ve blogged so a quick update from me – in the past two months I’ve got back on my feet (literally)! My cast came off at the beginning of June and although it’ll take a while for me to be able to do all the things I could do before the accident, I am making progress.
One of the things I didn’t anticipate, was how long it would take for me to get back to where I was. I thought a few weeks after having the cast off I’d be fine but it just doesn’t work like that. I had to have a special boot on for four weeks and I’m still doing physio now as the strength in my right foot has disappeared.

Anyway, once I had my bike back and all fixed I was pretty excited (as well as apprehensive) about getting back on the road again. A lot of people asked me if the accident had put me off riding, and while I wish it had never happened, I’m actually kinda OK that it did happen the way it did. Don’t get me wrong, having a broken foot totally ruined four months of the year for me, but now I am even more aware of the risks of riding a motorbike and how easily something can go wrong.
So fingers crossed for a busier few months on the bike and a lot more rides and travelling for the rest of the year!
